인도네시아 사람들은 그들의 방식으로 독립기념일을 축하했다. 빤잣삐낭 대회에서는 각자 나무 오르기 실력을 뽐냈다. 이는 인도네시아의 전통이다. 

 

Celebration The 71st Indonesia Independence Day

 

Thousands of people followed the colossal Panjat Pinang race (climbing the slipery rod of areca nut), at the Carnival Beach, Ancol, North Jakarta, on August 17, 2016. In order to celebrate the 71st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, the management of Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, a beach recreation area in Jakarta, held a Panjat Pinang contest, with 171 rod areca nut, and a total prize of IDR 250 million. In Indonesia, Panjat Pinang is one of the famous traditional game is only played during the celebration of Independence Day, as the game was supposed to represent the spirit of struggle, patience, unity, togetherness and helping attitude.
