The residents witnessed a high water discharge at the Katulampa dam, Bogor, West Java, on Monday, February 5, 2018. The high water flow at the Katulampa dam, which is the upper reaches of the Ciliwung river, is caused by high rainfall. This contributes to the increase in water volume in the Ciliwung river that flows into Jakarta, and becomes a threat of flooding for the citizens of Jakarta, especially those living on the banks of the river.
