Minister of Transport of the Republic of Indonesia, Ignatius Jonan (left), accompanied by the Director General of Civil Aviation, Suprasetyo (right) communicated to the media in a press conference related to the disaster experienced by aircraft belonging to the airline Trigana Air at the Ministry of Transportation, Jakarta, Sunday (16/08) night. Based on information collected by the Ministry of Transportation, the ATR 42-300 aircraft type numbered registration PK-YRN with flight number IL-257 and carrying 44 passengers and 5 crew members crashed after hitting a mountain in Okbape District en route from Sentani Airport heading Oksibil, Papua.
