시띠 누르바야 인도네시아 산림환경부 장관(왼쪽)이 고국으로 다시 돌아온 14마리의 오랑우탄 중 한 마리에게 먹이를 건네고 있다. 오랑우탄들은 지난 2009년 2월 5일 인도네시아의 야생동물 불법거래업자들에 의해 태국 푸켓으로 밀수출되어 서커스단 등에 강제로 공연에 이용되던 중, 동물보호당국에 적발된 후 이달 12일 공식적으로 인도네시아에 다시 돌려보내졌다. 오랑우탄들은 인도네시아 최대 동물원인 따만 사파리에서 앞으로 살게 된다. 

 

14 ORANGUTAN BACK TO INDONESIA

The 14 orangutans, previously found abandoned in Phuket, Thailand on February 5, 2009, then by the Thai government used as evidence of illegal animal smuggling and eventually returned to the government of the Republic of Indonesia officially on 12 November 2015. The orangutan will be taken to Taman Safari for quarantine, then after medical team stated that they were healthful, would be off back to their habitat in Sumatra and Kalimantan. (Aditya)
