The National Nuclear Energy Agency (BATAN) Team together with the Nuclear Energy Supervisory Agency (Bapeten) conducted a decontamination of the findings of high radioactive exposure at Batan Indah Housing, Serpong, South Tangerang, Banten, Monday, February 17, 2020. The head of BATAN, Anhar Riza Antariksawan, confirmed Bapeten's findings about the presence of radioactive substances in an empty area of the Batan Indah Complex did not originate from an accident or leak of the Siwabessy G.A. research reactor, and until now the reactor, which has been operating since 1987, continues to operate safely.
