A number of firefighters at PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (RAPP) helped extinguish peatland fires in Penarikan Village, Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province, on Sunday, July 28, 2019. Based on data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), until July 2019 forest fires cover more than 27 thousand hectares, and are now still expanding in Pelalawan and Siak Regencies.
