Peoples prepares the projector, sound system, and screen to conduct a joint watching a G30S/PKI movie in Cipinang, West Jakarta, September 29, 2017. After being banned on 1998, after the fall of the New Order (Orde Baru/Orba) regime, the film about a coup attemp by the Indonesian Communist Party involving high military officials on September 30, 1965, known as G30S/PKI, was again allowed to be screened after the Indonesian Military Commander, General Gatot Nurmantyo, urged the public to return to watch the film. Despite the pros and cons of presuming the film as a propaganda of the Old Regime, the reason for reminding peoples against the dangers of coup, as well as preventing rise of the Communist in Indonesia, made the film again allowed to be watched.
