Prospective passengers stood beside the information board about the rules of carrying "powerbank" in the plane at Minangkabau International Airport, Padang Pariaman District, West Sumatra, Monday, March 19, 2018. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation prohibits passenger aircraft carrying powerbank or portable charger battery exceeding 160,000 mAh capacity, but for capacity 20,000 to 32,200 mAh 5V is allowed if there is approval from the airlines. The rules are for the safety reasons which has also been included in Annex 17 doc 8973 and Annex 18 of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and IATA.
