According to the Head of the Department of Marine, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) of West Jakarta, Renova Ida Siahaan who visited the location, the cause of death of thousands of fish in the lake is thought to result from a natural phenomenon of the change of seasons, from summer to the rainy season, which causes the rotation of water in the lake due to the increased volume of water.
