The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG), through its official website, estimated the peak of the rainy season will occur in late January and February with the potential for heavy rainfall with strong winds and lightning as well as the high sea waves as a result of the weakening of El Nino and El Nina strengthening in the south of the Equator. BMKG also urged the public to be alert to disasters that might occur as a result of natural phenomena, such as landslides, floods and fallen trees. (JakartaBizWeekly/Aditya)
