According to the data that released by Jakarta Central Statistic Agency on August 2, 2016, the poverty rate in Jakarta capital on March 2016 reached 384.3 thousand, or 3.75%. The poverty rate increased compared to the situation in September 2015 (3.61%), but declined when compared with conditions in March 2015 as much as 3.93%. The increasing growth of poverty in the capital, triggered by growing poverty line non-food factors as the high cost of renting a house in Jakarta. In addition, the economic performance of Jakarta which grew lower in the first quarter of 2016 has impacted on the increasing percentage of poor population, related to limited income improvement.
